is this it???? how hard is it to change??? where can i get a new one??? how much should it cost??? any tricks of the trade, i should know???? I think I welded somthing together inside, as i cranked with a jump from my truck.... Now it will not stop cranking!!!!

Yes that's it. Very easy to replace--just unbolt and rebolt all wires exactly as they are now.

You can get a new one at your local outboard parts shop...depending on make/model it should be between $30-50.

Disconnect your battery cables from the batteries while replacing.

As Justin has said and yes you did weld the plunger. That is usually caused by cranking with a low battery. A low battery will cause the amperage draw to jump WAY up.
