I removed the 2x4s and the core was very solid. I laid 3 layers of 2415 against the core in varied widths so I would not have to tab later, and I would not create hard spots. I then topped it with a layer of 1808bd, no matter how much I rolled I
could not get the last 2 or 3 bubbles out of that 1808.
I did not wrap it over the top on that day, but I will have to go back and grind some of the excess, the mess and the gelcoat off the back and lay more glass so that it wraps over the top. I did fill the small gaps around the edge of the notch with
thickened resin. All in all this took me about 4gals or resin. I got alot done, but there is alot more to do.
