I hired someone to paint the boat. I don't have all the
details on the paint. The hull was painted with a Awlgrip Flag Blue, the
topsides were Awlgrip Oyster White and the deck and non-skid areas were painted
with Awlgrip Moon Dust. The way he did the non skid was tape off a 1" perimeter
all around the areas that needed non skid , paint by brush the Moondust, then he
used a sifter to drop the non-skid on the wet paint. Then paint again. I wasn't
there for that part. I wish I knew how to paint well, I could have saved some
good money. I know he sprayed the bottom, but not sure of the exact color or
brand of paint. I know it has some anti fouling
characteristics. The painter still needs to finish up a few things after the
season.
Once I got it back from paint, I spent about a week of long days rigging the boat. I still have some things to do, such as install radar arch and grabrail that mounts around the windshield.
