As of the last
update, I still needed to glass the deck section in place, clean up the
transom/cap joint, address the gutters where they meet the new section of deck
and then fair everything out.
The deck went in first. On the seam where it joins the deck, I cut the existing
deck at a 45 degree angle and the new section at an opposite 45. On the other
seams, I ground a slight bevel on the new section.

Then I buttered up the sections with a layer of milled fibers and resin. The pic doesn't show it but I also buttered up the tops of each stringer.

Then the new section of deck was squished into place and weighted down with a couple concrete bags.

While that was kicking, I foamed in the void where the old in deck livewell used to be.

Then I buttered up the livewell lid recess, squished in the livewell lid and covered the entire deck section with 3 layers of 1708 and 1 layer of 1.5 oz matt. Since I'd already covered the new deck piece with 2 layers of 1708, I only tabbed the corners on the first two layers (after I'd ground them back of course).
