I sanded and faired out the repairs to the aft rod holders and re-drilled the holes in a slightly new position (a scosh aft of where they were). A 2 1/8 inch hole saw worked perfectly. I drilled a couple test holes through two pieces of 1/2 inch ply clamped together until I got the bit size and angle right.

And I did a lot of prep work to the entire hull and deck in preparation for paint. I went over the hull 3 seperate times sanding out, filling in and sanding fair any little imperfections I could find. Each time around, I found some that I'd missed before. But I pretty much got them all. Including many screw holes that I no longer needed. I used a gel-coat/cabosil mix for the filler. The smooth surfaces were then sanded to 320. The non-skid surfaces were sanded to 80 grit. I had a little help on this part of the project,  but this is the only pic I'm allowed to share.

She did a lot of the flat and smooth areas while I focused on the detail areas. If I were so inclined (I'm not), now would be the perfect time to commit a crime of some sort as I have no fingerprints left.

Went through a lot of paper on this part of the project.

I have washed the boat thoroughly twice now. Had intended to put down the first coat of paint today but it is just too windy. Decided to wait until the morning.
