Next, I got busy re-rigging all the hardware and stuff that has to go back on the boat. Trim tabs, scuppers, drain tubes, rigging tube flanges, power steering bulkhead fittings and lifting rings were first on the agenda.

These are the short actuators from Bennett. I had to go with these to provide clearance from the bracket once its installed. They also have the NMEA 2000 hinge position sensors in them. These will be wired into my LowranceNet NMEA 2000 network so tab position will be available to me.

The scuppers (TH Marine) posed a bit of challenge. I used I believe a #6 (edit - it was actually a #8) panhead screw to install the flanges. All total, it takes 8 screws per scupper. That was all fine and dandy until I tried to install the removable cup and ball. 4 of the screw heads blocked the cup from engaging into the twist rings on the flange. Since I'd already pre-drilled the pilot holes and didn't want to fill and re-drill, I had to remove the 4 screws and carefully grind the heads down to a smaller diameter. Took some precious time but it worked fine.

I also installed the Airmar B260 ducer and the thru hull fitting for my saltwater washdown pump.
