Last Friday evening, I got back to work rigging and buttoning down a few loose items so I could haul the boat to my mechanic early Saturday morning. What I had projected to take "a few hours" turned into another marathon work session. I watched the sun go down from inside the boat Friday evening and I watched it come back up from inside the boat on Saturday morning. Even got some sympathy pancakes served to me just after daylight. Around noon on Saturday, this was the view in the back yard - an empty hanger...

I parked the boat in the driveway, went inside and took a long, hot shower and caught about an hour's sleep before heading off to the mechanic.

On Sunday, we got started (a little late due to me oversleeping ) on mounting the bracket.

We had to wrestle with it a little bit but overall, not too bad of an install. We chose 3M 4000UV as the sealant for the bracket. My intent is to pull the bracket at the end of this season to inspect the transom and I wanted to be able to remove the bracket without breaking out the crowbars and jackhammers. If all is well, as I expect, I will re-install it with 5200 at that time.
