At the advice of a gentleman very knowledgeable in trim tab science, I will not be installing the manual trim tabs. The budget, due to all the other repairs being made, is being stretched. There is just not room for adjustable trim tabs now. This is a SE300 motor fin. I had a Doel fin on another boat that really improved the performance of that rig. The main reason for installing it is to enable the boat to plane at much slower speeds. My racing days are over, I do not abuse the Mako by jumping it from wave to wave. If I can hold it on plane at very slow speeds, it will come in handy for rough water. I like to run the boat wherever the smoothest ride is.

This is the Garmin 188 transducer epoxied in to the bottom. At the left the second bilge pump, a Rulemate 1100 is seen. [The rule mate has a built in float system]. The main pump is a 2000 gph rule. That gives me 3100 gph [published] capacity.

This pretty much winds up the work in the bilge area. I will clean it , install new deck plates, and seal 'er up.

Ron did some pretty handy aluminum work to make the console a little more user friendly.

This is the t-top under construction. Notice the fabric is temporarily held on with tie wraps and the bracing has not been fitted and welded in yet.

Here is a photo of the continuing work in progress. There is  some more bracing to add to the t-top. A new Radio and a GAM 42" high output antenna are on order.
