Very nice addition of a convenient and out-of-the-way tackle box.

Here is the transom gate before being permanently attached. Note the s/s deck plates, which have not been siliconed and fastened down yet. Haven't even removed protective skin. The deck brush, which is essential if you don't have a washdown system, is stored out of the way.

Here is a shot of the front of the transom gate. As said before, the gate has not yet been made an intregral part of the boat, but will be. Scuppers will be installed to drain the deck into the motor well (formed by glassing the transom gate to the hull inner liner).

The rear storage boxes will be used for bait boxes so the boat cooler will not be tainted.  Extra loose coolers are not allowed aboard as they become missiles in very rough water. Cutting boards are mounted on top of the lids. Open the box, take a bait out, close lid, cut up if necessary. Also notice the rod rigger used for trolling rods.

This used to be the old teak step plates that were split and worn. The aluminum plate is also siliconed in. The rod holder is a Driftmaster stainless steel holder. These rod holders are the best thing going to hold small spinning rods. When it is too rough to get offshore, these rod holders are very good for drift fishing fro Spanish and Redfish. There are four on the boat, two forward, and two aft.

It finally came in! This cooler seat is one of the coolest items that has been added to the boat. It has a 72 qt cooler under the seat. Since  the built in cooler was converted into a live well, this was sorely needed. It sits higher than some of the other seating options, which helps looking over the console and is easier on the legs. When the seat is folded forward, the legs can be stretched out and propped on the transom gate. My kind of lazy fishing, just add a beer!
