It's been a looooonnnngggg time since this old gal saw this kind of shine. I started out trying to wet sand the sides down. Whew! Too much work. I have a professional air buffer. I secured some 3m fiberglass polish/restorer and let it do its job. She's smilin now!

Well folks that's about it for this season. Over 400 hours in the making. I met some new friends and learned a bunch in the process. She ain't fancy. Every feature, every screw, every piece is designed to catch a lot of fish. week is shakedown time. Me an this old gal are gonna do just fine. I'll be posting some catch pics later if ER will let me. -Ron Garrett

You catch 'em and I'll post them! Not to many fish are coming about my boat this season, so someone needs to catch something.. -ER

Here is the latest from Ron

I have added a Garmin 2010 to the arsenal. The 188 was very hard for these old eyes to read while standing up at cruising speed. This is a very, very fast unit. From a cold boot, it took maybe two minutes to initialize, including satellite and WAAS acquisition.

Something I found out: a friend that will be fishing with me some this summer paid a visit about the time I powered the unit up. He was asking questions about what things were. The 2010 shows things that are not readily visible on the 188, (they show up as a small dot on the smaller unit). I use my GPS for navigating and fishing. It is looked at more than any other device (well maybe equally with the depth finder). I am a structure troller. While trolling I am constantly navigating to "spots". I am going to like this unit!

Below are some photos of the payoff for all of Ron's hard work on the Mako over the winter.
