Well they say a workers job is never done..... Here are some photo's of the 20 year old galvanized trailer the Mako was sitting on. In this pic you can see the rust on the hubs and springs. They were replaced just before I bought the Mako. You can see the results of not cold galvanizing the new parts.


Both fenders looked to be in good shape, but when feeling the underside, I felt some rust. As I started sandblasting the underside I blasted a hole right thru the fender. You can see that even though a hole appeared, the rust has not been completely removed.


This is what the starboard fender looked like before closer inspection.


This is what the starboard side spring area looks like after sandblasting and cold galvanizing.


I also replaced the old tongue jack with a dual wheeled one (handy since the wheel is placed in dirt and gravel occasionally).
