Well we all know how cold it has been, so I have continued on my leaning post seat mold. After getting it all together and sanded, I made the mistake of priming it with regular run-of-the-mill latex primer. It left a bunch of brush marks that were a bear to sand out. (note to self.....don't do that again). I gave it a few coats of grey auto primer followed by a good sanding with 220. Came out smooth as all get out. I followed that by 3 coats of enamel (sanding in between) and am ready for the final coat before I lay the glass. I am very pleased with the way the $2.97 gloss white finished up. I am still waiting on the Fedex guy to deliver my Partall, PVA, 1.5 oz mat and 1808. I've finally decided that I will follow a 1.5 oz mat/1.5 mat/1808/1/4 marine ply/1808/1808/1.5 oz mat schedule. I'm sure that will be plenty strong. If anyone has a different idea, please let me know. More to follow...
