Well I finally got all my fall chores done and got brave enough to tackle the transom project on my new to me 21(1979) this was a boat that I bought off this board in November. I am going the traditional route and replace the plywood from the inside and leave it at the stock configuration. I believe I have read every post twice that has anything to do with "transom". Thank goodness the stringers are solid. the pictures that follow represent a weekends work. more to follow.

Cap removed to look at rot.

here is the transom after many hours of air chisel and grinder work, never would have had the guts to do this without everyone's pictures of there work.!! Next is to make a template and cut out the marine ply.

Here is the progress I made last night, we laminated the plywood and glassed it in using epoxy and 18oz roven woven. Hope to reattach the cap this week.
