BOYS, WE SPLASHED HER
TODAY!!!!!!
After working on the Johnson for 2 weeks on a screwy ignition/fuel problem I
finally nailed it today and in celebration we went for a ride, I want to
especially thank everyone who encouraged me to go for the bigger engine. That
225 on the 21 ran like a scalded dog. We cut thru 2 and 3 footers like I would
never believe. Total different ride than my 20. By the way the problem on the
Johnson turned out to be a spun timer magnet on the flywheel. The mechanic at
the dealership I bought it from worked on it for 2 hours and proclaimed "don't
run so good" 2 weeks later I finally nailed it. Needless to say that dealer wont
get any more of my business.

Here is a action shot of the finished project. I named the boat "Blue Dolphin". Brenda and I went out yesterday morning and had a awesome day. Everything worked well on the boat. We trolled for 6 hours strait and the little 25 merc. didn't even hiccup. Total fuel used for the day was 8 gallons. we fished 3-5 miles offshore in 120-180 feet of water. Most of the releases came at 50-60 feet down. Surface water temps were 50 degrees. We lost one "heartbreaker" on leadcore when a 25lb stainless ball swivel got turned into a pretzel by an awesome fish. That fish is on his way to Wisconsin with my lucky lure hanging out his mouth. For all you guys still working hard on your projects let me tell you a day like this will fill your soul with such good feelings it will be ALL WORTH IT!!!! keep focused!! your day is coming. We ended up with 2 small salmon and released another small one. Last night was a salmon feast.
