Completely stripped boat to bare hull. Cut out all the gel coat cracks, filled drain channels in preparation of adding a floatation bracket. With the oversized flotation bracket the original scuppers are covers by the flotation cavity. We customized new holes in the corners of the transom like the older models. Then ran each to a thru-hull fitting with sea cocks

From previous experience adding a bracket covered the top of the trim tab access plates blocking removal if trim tabs needed repair/replacement plus looked funny having an inch sticking out above the swim platform. We fiber glassed the top three inches and cut the trim tab covers for easy access once the bracket was installed.

With the years of cosmetic abuse the gel coat needed some attention. After awgripping previous Mako I choose not to do this again mostly due to resale (buyer always beware of a painted hull) So the long process of wet sanding started. 40 hours of sanding later the gel coat was ready for a buff. Happy with the finish but may chose to poliglow....

Always hated the fuel separators in the open transom area. Filled the holes and remounted inside the bilge on the top of the transom, then ran rubber hoses on the drain to the bottom of the bilge.
