Below is the livewell setup in Pete's Mako 261

The input is provided by a 700gph rule pump on a through hull. Plenty of flow and very quiet. It travels from the bilge to the livewell between the gas tank and the gas tank cover. The drain is 1 1/2" vinyl above the deck to a grey plastic elbow just under the fuel tank cover. From there I used 1 1/2" fuel fill hose that runs along the top of the tank and exits the tank cavity right where the real fuel fill goes in (at the rear port corner).

The coiled hose fits into that 4inch PVC pipe on the starboard side of the livewell. Not the prettiest thing, but extremely convenient and effective.

You may be able to make out the drain running between my oil reservoir and my spare bottle of menhaden oil. I ran the feed and drain for the livewell through a piece of starboard that's screwed to the fuel tank cover. I also ran the feed for the washdown (powered by a parmax4) through the same starboard.

The livewell is a 30 gal and I have kept a lot of bait very alive for 48hrs. The setup on my Mako 21 is a little different. It was necessary to cut into the deck and plumb PVC around the inside perimeter of the existing livewell to get the right design. That well is 24gal and for 24hr trips is more than adequate.
