Finished the E-box tonight and mounted the stereo and speakers. I decided to cut the holes and have them fire down so they can be heard underway. I was going to put them on the side, but someone I know has them there and they are difficult to hear.

I had planned on mounting this on the t-top today, but the E-box has a slight bow to the top and the surface I'm mounting to is flat. I will have to fab some spacers so I do not have an issue.

I worked late on the boat last night and wrapped it up around 11pm. This morning I woke at 3:30 and could not get back to sleep, so I got up at 4am and started working again. I stayed at it until 6pm tonight when I finished what I started. The heat today was 90 degrees in the shade and I was (of course) in the sun. It was brutal and even worse when I started spraying and had to wear long pants and shirt.

Masking the boat was a PITA, but with time and patience it does come out nice. The sun was so hot, I had to go over all the tape with 2" wide to make sure it would not come off. I was nervous using regular masking due to the sun The blue stuck just as well and left no residue.

I started spraying as soon as I could and while I would never paint something outside and in the hot sun - I did. The non-skid is very forgiving and the sun helped speed up the dry times.

For spreading the non-skid (Grip-tex) I simply poked a bunch of holes in a peanut can and used lids on both ends to prevent it from leaking when not in use.

I'm pretty happy with the results and only made one small glitch when I slipped and put 2 fingers in the non-skid. I was able to fix it and you almost can't see it - but I know it's there.

Here's the results once the tape was pulled...
