These photos are of the installation of the new rigging tubes. Look close at the stringer that is factory formed with a cutaway in it. This would have been better if it was whole, and a hole cut thru the middle of it. It was covered with 3/4in marine plywood that was epoxy encapsulated. A rabbit was cut in both pieces to give a lip for the new plywood to sit on. It was glued together with epoxy.

The photo above shows a cutout in the deck that was made in
order to place a 6 gallon fresh water tank in the hull. Some of the foam was
removed, and a compartment was formed and glassed. A bunch of detail work was
done on the hatch lid to keep water from getting into the plywood. All of the
holes were drilled oversize, filled with epoxy/cabosil, and then redrilled. This
way if for some reason water ever got down the screw threads, it would never
touch wood. The same was done in the cleats that the hatch panel sits on, except
the oversize holes were drilled with a fostner bit. This makes a perfect flat
bottom in the wood, as it's not drilled all the way thru. Again it was filled
with epoxy/cabisol and redrilled to the proper size for the screws. All of the
wood you see in the 2nd photo is epoxy encapsulated.
