The outside White is done and looking good. I still had to
paint the inside of the console's and the cuddy cabin. I didn't want to be in
that small of a space and spraying paint. I used Sherwin William's "Tile Clad
HS". This is a true epoxy paint. It will not do well when exposed to UV ray's,
but due to all of this area being interior and no sun getting to it, it will be
just fine. This paint was rolled on using West Epoxy foam roller's. Don't try it
using any other roller cover's, as the epoxy will break the roller cover down in
a very short time and you will have a mess. All surface's got 2 coat's.
Next is to layout all the panel's for the nonskid. I chose the Durabak Tan
color for this.
http://www.nonslipcoating.com/ In the last pix, it show's the special
roller cover to apply this nonskid. Durabak includes one of these cover's with
each gal. you buy. I cut them down in the band saw to be 3in wide to make
thing's easier in the small area's. You apply one coat and wait 1hr, then apply
the 2nd coat and wait 1hr. After that you better be pulling the tape. The paint
will bridge the tape and you will not have clean edge's. Speaking of clean
edge's. All the edge's right up against the outlined panel's were taped with
3M Fineline tape in 1/4in width.
