This was a crack I found in the bottom. It was repaired before. The repair wasn't done very well and I understand why. If you have ever had to lay on your back with fiberglass raining down on you, you will understand. The crack was hidden by the trailer bunk.

The crack was ground out and the surrounding fiberglass tapered. All new glass was vacuum bagged. The crack was along the stringer, creating a hard spot. I believe the boat was grounded hard on a rock pile?

This is the top cap being bonded to the hull to create a MUCH stronger boat. The gel coat was ground off and 1808 DB 45/45 was vacuum bagged. It is a BUNCH of work to get all the fairing done and the lines looking right again.
