The cuddy is done and the side wings have been added. The full windshield frame is in progress.

This is the frame built to mold the hardtop. It will be covered in 1/2in MDO, in order to get a really smooth surface. Of course it will be vacuum bagged and it has a core of 1 1/4 Kledgecell. It's built heavy in order to handle the loads that will be put on it and to keep things JUST right. The frame is square, to 1/32". CLOSE ENOUGH. HeHe. The frame is 6X7ft. The top will be built 5X6ft. The extra on the frame will allow 6in all the way around to seal the bag.

I just finished laminating the panel. I ran the DA over it with 80gt and hoisted it up there. The 2X10 are temp. It's what I had. I've trimmed the front windshield just a little for a better fit. The panel still has a bunch of work to do to it, to make it look right. I guess the support/ladders will be next, after the top is glassed to the windshield. That will get rid of the 2X10's. Thanks Bill & Everett.

Shown here is Rick doing the aluminum fabrication in his basement. Nice work!

The windshield frame is done. I built a mold for the hardtop to put the camber in the 1 1/4in Kledgecell. The top is not near finished in this pix. The support ladders are in progress. The 2X4's are temp. while building the alum. supports.
